Using a caterer is sometimes a preferred option when organising an event. For many practical reasons it can be handy to hire a local firm who can take care of all the different tasks involved. However, when organising an event it is important that even hired staff are fully informed about the uniqueness of the Nordic kitchen and its qualities, and can communicate Nordic values.
Preferably, they should have sufficient information to be able to speak to guests and answer questions. If possible, tasting and teaching sessions could be organised beforehand when caterers and staff learn about the Nordic kitchen, its flavours, produce and unique qualities.
