A good host always makes his or her guests feel welcome. At events, and on more formal occasions, it may be hard to recognise and fulfil everyone´s need for attention but a welcoming and open attitude to our guests always does wonders. In the Nordic countries we often invite people to our homes, which creates an intimate and personal atmosphere. We are famous for being informal and relaxed. Moreover, we take great pride in how we present our homes and often use natural materials when decorating or furnishing it.

Nature is important to us and we often bring seasonal flowers and plants into our houses. During the darker part of the year, we light candles and tea lights to bring light into our lives. Being a good host always adds value and can be crucial for the way we are perceived and can determine whether an event becomes a success.
